School Officer Program

Texas Defense Force Security (TXDF) has introduced the School Officer Program as an innovative solution to enhance school safety in response to the mandates of Texas HB3. This program leverages parent volunteers who are deeply invested in the safety of their children and offers comprehensive security coverage at a fraction of the cost of non-volunteer solutions. The School Officer Program addresses the shortcomings of previous initiatives and ensures proper recruitment, training, and support for volunteers. With a clear command structure and statewide jurisdiction, this program fosters community involvement and ownership in school safety. Volunteers in the School Officer Program also receive federal protection under the Volunteer Protection Act, providing them with peace of mind while serving their communities. As the program continues to develop, it is poised to make a significant impact on improving school safety in Texas.

If you're not sure where to start, the TXDF School Officer Program is well described in the School Officer Program introduction article.  The article links to the listed items below.
